Last week's sermon was one of the hardest I have ever preached. The concepts involved were so complex and difficult (at least for me). The text (Matthew 5:13-37) raised questions about the authority of the Bible, the relationship of the Old and New Testaments, contemporary interpretation, the relationship of Jesus (and Christianity and Christians) to the Old Testament, and more.
